IIMMI has taken distinct actions headed for grooming the personality of the students and placement of every student. It is mostly in the final year that the students start preparing for the placements, but IIMMI assists students in placement throughout the course of their study. Every admitted candidate of the institute has a unique opportunity to serve in the media industry. We provide internships and placements to Mass Communication courses in all the leading News-Channels, Newspapers, FM Radio Stations and Advertising agencies on the strength of practical training, we provide to our students, in the organizations like NDTV, India TV, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Economics Times, Dainik Jagran, DD News etc. All the leading news-channels, advertising agencies and radio stations approach the students and they have to go through the entire selection process. The entire process of selection wholly depends upon the abilities and interest areas of the student along with the needs, demands and norms of the industry.
IIMMI boasts of a well-established Placement Cell for Mass Communication courses students which facilitates and assist the students in Placement. The cell comprise experienced and practicing lawyers, media professionals- Journalists, Editors, Script Writers, Special Correspondent, IT professionals, etc. Therefore, it becomes easy for our members to support and guide the students in their career and placements. The Placement Cell is responsible for:
- Keeping regular interaction with the Media Industries through Seminars, Industrial Visits & Media Visits and Guest Lectures.
- Development of personality and communication skills along with leadership qualities and career counseling.
- Assisting students for Training, Internship and Placements.
- Keeping an extensive updated database of the industry.
It is also a part of the assessment to prepare students for vigorous selection process of the industry.
The placement cell also guides and assists the students in preparation of an effective and impressive resume, revelation of job description as well as describing the best career option according to the capability and interests of the student.
